SAAS - OS X Server Inheritance

Using the OS X Server "Inherit permissions from parent" switch.
You can activate Sharing - Share Points - Protocols - Inherit permissions from parent in Workgroup Manager (WGM) (you may need to log in to WGM as root to do this).

How Inherit Permissions switch works:
When copying a local file test.txt with permissions 664 to a folder "ScrapBook" (permissions 777), and Inherit permissions turned off, test.txt will end up with permissions 664 (it's original permissions).

With Inherit Permissions turned on, the version test.txt copied to "ScrapBook" will end up with permissions 777 (permissions inherited from parent folder)

For this to work, OS X clients must be updated to 10.2.3 or later.
